First weekend in August means Steppin Out in Blacksburg. I love hanging out in a town I love with people I love listening to great music and shopping! Hope to see you there!!
Added bonus my s-i-l C will be in town all weekend and my grandpa will be visiting some also! Hopefully I'll be able spend lots of time with them as well as relax, get in a ride and a run, and mow the lawn!! (NO PAINTING!)
I'm also really looking forward to this time next week when I'll be packing my bags and heading to the west coast for a week!! LA here I come :) Can't wait to see ya H!

So I've been blogging maybe two years now. For me it's obviously nothing too insiteful, more an online journal to share stories and keep friends up to date on my life. In the past 6 months my view of what blogging is all about and the impact it's having around the world has been growing. This week I've been doing some research on company blogs. ID is going to be starting a blog and we're trying to figure out what we want to include and how this blog can benefit the company. The more I read and learn about blogs the more I realize what an explosion it is... seems blogging is everywhere now!

A blog born every second, more then 80,000 a day!
The more blogs I discover the interest me the harder it is to check them everyday. I really you could let it take over you life! Thanks goodness I've had a friend point me the direction of RSS. I can subscribe to the RSS feeds of the blogs I'd like to read and new posts are sent to my mail application (or RSS reader of your choice). Now I don't really have to do any work... I can catch up on blogs as they are posted :)
So what are you waiting for? Start a BLOG! BLOGGER or TYPEPAD are great places to set up your free blog!

Yeah, I'm still alive

So I may skip the whole catch up thing.... you'll just have to live not knowing what I've been up to the past 2 weeks :)
But I will say a couple things about my trip to High Point last week for work.
3 things I love about NC:
1 - BAR B QUE :)
2 - Cheerwine from a fountain :)
3 - Country Bars :)
(yes I did have Bar B Que for lunch and dinner one day!)
Training itself went really well. I'm one of those rare people who love dealing with the customers. I love talking to them, learning how they use our software, getting feedback from them, teaching them etc. My boss always says I'm the #1 proponent for what the customer wants, which a lot of developers unfortunately don't care about. The more I talk to the customers the better I understand the software, since I came into this project in the middle and don't have the background furniture knowledge others on our team do - every little bit I learn helps!
