Day 2 out of 3. I think I am going to make it :) And today is the office thanksgiving lunch.. yummmm :) I made mom's macoroni salad! Prob won't be as big a hit as 'Not Yo Mama's Banana Puddin' but I hope it's a hit!
Big News :) Rubbaduck.com is having a thanksgiving sale!! A chance to buy all the migrating ducks online for $5. You better believe I will be on there!! If you haven't been to my house recently and don't know what a rubba duck is... you are missing out!
I have officially started listening to christmas music! Yes it's that time of year again :) Now if it would just snow!! Survey time... what's your favorite Christmas song?? [post yours on the comments :) let's see if we can't get some action on there :) ] Mine.. 'Mary Did You Know' :)
The list for today is long... rake, pick up book on CD for trip, finish folding laundry, plan bible study, pack, get CF Buster on my laptop, wash dishes.... yeah it's going to be a long night.. but I have to work all day tomorrow.. so I want to be ready to hit the road when I leave for bible study in the morning :) I am heading to Va Beach for thanksgiving.. then home to Fairfax for the weekend! Can't wait! 8)

In Salt Lake that is :) What a beautiful walk to the convention center this morning :) Makes me want to stay here a bit longer :)
So last night was our big conference event night. They charter bused everyone (I don't know how many people.. more the 2000) to the Olympic Oval. Which is the speed skating place. Of course you walk in and there's a guy (good looking!) standing with a tray of bud light bottles :) haha. They had all kinda of food all over the place :) Macromedia does put on a good show! They had local speed skaters doing an exhibition. So we are standing on the wall watching them.... I decide my back hurts and dig out my ibroprophen... dummy be drops one and it rolls across the ice. I am freaked out that it's going to cause a big crash. I don't think I could like with killing another person this week! (Larry being the first) All is good though.. no crashes! The lines for the events were pretty long. We did get to take some slap shots though. I stink! I also ice skated some. I don't remember 1 being such a bad skater... and 2 skates hurting that bad!! It was fun though. When we decided the lines were too long and we wouldn't have the time to arial bungee... we found a table and started a game of 'asshole' :) It was really fun! A more fun night then I thought it would be. I came back and hit the hay. I had to have all my stuff packed this morning before I came over here. That was fun... :( I have classes til 5.. then Larry and I get to waste time before we have to catch the shuttle to the airport at 10! Kinda stinks.. but I will be home in time to watch the HOKIES stomp over BC!!!

More Macromedia Fun!!

hola! Nothing too exciting has been happening. Yesterday was full of workshops and today's holds more of the same. It's kinda fun, last time I was at a DEVCON I had just started working with Cold Fusion so many of the workshops were way over my head. Now I actually understand it all. Makes it a lot easier to stay awake and pay attention!!
Hmmm... last night after the workshops... and the free drinks and meat on a stick reception.. a bunch of us headed to the Gateway. A pretty cool outdoor mall that was built for the olympics. We passed the DELTA CENTER on the way.. and Mike and I decided it would be fun to catch the Utah Jazz game. So we scalped some cheap tickets, then headed to the mall. It was cool.. same stores as all malls.. lots of teenybopper clothing stores! We hit up the arcade to play some DDR (dance dance revolution). It is soooo fun... but I don't recommend playing in boots! The game was fun too. Utah stayed behind by about 10 most of the game. It was still cool!! And they gave away free bengay patches on the way out.. just what I need for my aching muscles!!! I ended the night with a soak in the hot tub! Just what the DR ordered.. my nuscles are feeling a little better today. It may just be the IB I popped though :)

Hmmm.. so far the trip has been an adventure. Of course I made it to ROA just in the nick of time to park, check bagage, and work through security when we heard them calling our names for the flight :) opps!! Flights were uneventful... a little bit of turbulance on the altanta to SLC leg. They showed PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN which was fun since I had never seen it. Of course I listened to the first 15 min on the spanish chanel. I just figured they spoke another language a bit.. after 15 mins I tried to find another channel. Amazing how much easier it is to understand in ENGLISH :) haha. We hit up Hard Rock for dinner, pool, and Golden Tee. Yes I scored a +2 after 18 holes on GT2004!!
Tues started out great! I showed up at Enterprise and found out we were getting an free upgrade cause they didn't have any SUV's, just suburbans..... well I made a joke what I really wanted was that Dodge Ram out front :) They were like do you really want it... you can have it :) haha. So yes I rented a Dodge Ram Quad Cab 2500 grey!!! WOOHOO!!! Then it was off to Snowbird. Wasn't crowded at all. Jeff and Larry rented their boards and off to the slopes. It started off slow... jeff and larry were learning how to turn.. just couldn't get the whole stopping thing down. We still made it to the bottom though. I went up the lift to check out the run before taking them. Well as I come to the bottom I see them starting up the lift.. OH NO! But yeah we can do this :) Unfortunately when I made it to the top Larry was sprawed out on the snow :( He had fallen while getting off and hurt his shoulder.. the EMT people got him on a sled and took him down while jeff and I slowly made out way down. Jeff ended up walking most of the way.. he was freaked out after watching Larry get hurt. Larry and Jeff headed to Alta Hospital while I enjoyed a bittersweet day of riding. The slopes were long and not too difficult. Of course I stuck to blue and green.. no diamonds for me!!! It was really fun! I am way out of shape though! Met some cool people and almost managed to hitchhike my way back to my hotel :) haha.. Jeff and Larry came back to get me after Larry was drugged up, had his shoulder put back in place and attached to his body in a contraption. They were kind enough to drive me up to ALTA so I could get some cool gear!!
We hit up a bar called PORT O CALL for dinner and fun. They had a supper ubber cool flat screen version of megatouch 2004 with a jukebox too!! That of course had Gary Allan :) haha
Ok I will fill ya in more later.. off to my class. That is the real reason I am here.. right :)

WOoohooo!! I know I need to get better at this. I always have tons to say.. just don't around to it!!
So for today's entertainment... I got back to Blacksburg on tuesday night and went to turn on my computer... hit the button.. nothing... hit it again.. nothing... again again again... still nothing! Gosh dernit!! So instead of getting real frustrated I ignored it and planned my bible studay and went to sleep. Thinking.. really God knew it would distract me and I really needed to focus on the bible study and sleep. I tried it again in the morning... still nothing. So wednesday night... I decided to spend a little more time checking it out. I already knew everything else in the power strip was working... so I just change the slot it was plugged into.... BINGO it came right on! Stupid things. I guess that one plug on the power strip is down.. RANDOM! But hey my computer works now!! Woohoo!!!
Last nights blond moment.. making hot chocolate. Got the powder in the mug. Got the hot water.. Got the milk. What do I do?? Pick up the milk and start pouring it into mug thinking it's the hot water! Man I need help sometimes :)
Today's blond moment.. I am crusin to work.. singin along to the radio. Getting close to the gate... so I decide to get my badge out. Hmm.. where is my badge?? CRUD! I left it in the coat I wore yesterday.. Well screw it I am almost here I will have to deal with the slow wackenhut people and get a temp badge. CRUD! I don't even have my drivers license! I left it in VA Beach last weekend. Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. UTURN. 45 min later.... I arrive at the gate.. badge in hand. And I thought I was going to be early this morning!!
Should I retitle by BLOG... BLOND MOMENTS?? :)

I will try to be better about keeping this thing up to date.... there is never a shortage of crazy or stupid stories in my life. Like Rex says.. who needs reality TV when my friends lifes are way more entertaining!
Cris, Abby, and Angela were in town this weekend. We had a blast at Rob's Amazing Fantastical Halloween/Beat Miami Parte! Jeff's drunk friends were starting to sketch Monica out.. but overall a good time :) They are great guys.. just typical when drunk :)
Abby reminded us how exciting it is to be a Hokie and be in Blacksburg.. kinda like being around a kid at Christmas and follwing suit in their joy and happiness :) What an awesome weekend to be a hokie!! Beating MIAMI is up there on my list of great HOKIE MOMENTS :) That is the kinda of excitement every game should be filled with!
Of course sunday was LAZY. Major recovery mode :)
This week has been insanely busy!! Only made better by the fact I found out tuesday is a govt holiday. I already had friday off, so I took monday too. Now I have a five day weekend, which I will split between Norfolk and Fairfax.
My pops went to the oncologist today. Good and bad news. The doctors are optimistic. He starts Chemo tomorrow. I will send out a more detailed update later by email... my family would love to be included in your prayers!
