I don't really want to blog... but feel like I should have something new to read. Don't think that much entertaining stuff is going on right now though. Hmm.. maybe I will layout my scheudle for the next couple days.. that will get your head spinning.
Tonight - laundry, wrap work presents, read and study CF
Friday - work, ID Christmas dinner at the Homeplace
Saturday - snowshoe trip.. prob leave the burg around 5am maybe earlier.. won't get home til 9 or so.
Sunday - church, wrap presents, study more, start packing, take M to the airport, entertain C
Monday - work, BHS YL Alum dinner at BW's, CRAM for CF
Tuesday - work, TEST, celebrate passing at BW's with R, maybe pack some
Wednesday - head home.
So the big thing is STUDYING, wrapping presents at some point, finishing laundry at some point, packing, also have to fit in TECH Bookstore and XANADO's for those last minute gifts.
AND IT'S SNOWING RIGHT NOW :)
Piano Lessons

[I just love this.. so I wanted to share. ENJOY]
Wishing to encourage her young son's progress on the piano, a mother took her boy to a Paderewski concert. After they were seated, the mother spotted an old friend in the audience and walked down the aisle to greet her.
Seizing the opportunity to explore the wonders of the concert hall, the little boy rose and eventually explored his way through a door marked "NO ADMITTANCE."
When the house lights dimmed and the concert was about to begin, the mother returned to her seat and discovered that the child was missing.
Suddenly, the curtains parted and spotlights focused on the impressive Steinway on stage. In horror, the mother saw her little boy was sitting at the keyboard, innocently picking out "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star."
At that moment, the great piano master made his entrance, quickly moved to the piano, and whispered in the boy's ear, "Don't quit. Keep playing."
Then leaning over, Paderewski reached down with his left hand and began filling in a bass part. Soon his right arm reached around to the other side of the child and he added a running obbligato.
Together, the old master and the young novice transformed a frightening situation into a wonderfully creative experience. The audience was so mesmerized that they couldn't recall what else the great master played. Only the classic "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star."
That's the way it is with God. What we can accomplish on our own is hardly noteworthy. We try our best, but the results aren't exactly graceful flowing music. But with the hand of the Master, our life's work truly can be beautiful.
Next time you set out to accomplish great feats, listen carefully. You can hear the voice of the Master, whispering in your ear, "Don't quit. Keep playing." Feel His loving arms around you. Know that His strong hands are there helping you turn your feeble attempts into true masterpieces.
Remember, God doesn't call the equipped, He equips the called. And He'll always be there to love and guide you on to great things. Life is more accurately measured by the lives you touch than the things you acquire.

Man and this week already seems long! I can't wait for a week from now. Hopefully Rex and I will be celebrating passing our CFMX test at BW3's!! Everyone is welcome to help us celebrate!! Those of you who are still in town!
So....the big battle today was with RTF. If was tough fought.. and RTF definitely held the advantage.. after a long hard fight I emmerged victorious! RTF has yet again been defeated! AND THE CROWD GOES WILD! My brain is still recovering :) RTF is ugly ugly code no one should ever have to mess with! EVIL!
Ok backing up. This weekend was wonderful. Monica and I spent lots of time bonding! God is so good to me providing awesome roommates!! So much better then living alone! I am still working on getting over my analness I somehow developed while living alone though. Cause everything was always just how I wanted it.. I think I got used to that! Anyways, the weekend was spent relaxing. Got some studying done.. not enough of course! Enjoyed the new snow/ice. That is of course until this morning when Monica's car got stuck on the ice :( Brenna and I just didn't have the muscles to push her up the hill!
Guess what... I get to go snowboarding on saturday.... can I get a YEEEEHAAAWWWW!!

It's been a long week. I forgot my badge for work again.. Second time in one week! Actually third time.. but the second time I remembered when I was only a block from home.. so I pulled a uey. Anyways... surprising it only slowed me down by about 5 minutes, the guards are getting a little better at the whole process!
Another shocker today. I put it a help desk ticket at 8:45 to have Netscape (AKA the devil) installed on my workstation. At 9:30, only 45min later I had Netscape! I know that sets world records!! :) Usually the process is oh about 2-3 weeks!
I have been wrestling with CSS all day... it's just not working the way it should :) Oh well! I am ready to call it quits until monday. Getting ready to go to the gym... relax myself with a run... dinner with Monica... then off to see Chris Thile with some co-workers!

hair stylists

Sooo... a long long time ago...15 Sept 2000... I was on a road trip (Gary in Charlotte) and randomly decided to go real short with the hair. Drove around trying to find a hair place in a town I didn't know, and told the chic to just cut it all off! Upon returning to the burg my friend (also with short hair) recommended me to her stylist. I was not lead astray.. Christi did an awesome job on my hair! Since then I let no other cut my hair. I just went in and told her to have fun with.. cut it however she wanted to. I even followed her when she switched saloons. I always got compliments on my hair.. and all I could say was, it has nothing to do with my ability to style it, Christi cuts it just right. So you can imagine my shock and disappointment when I called back in June for a haircut and found out Christi had been fired. And they didn't know if she was working anywhere else. AHHHHH... I wasn't sure if I could let someone else touch my hair. Actually once when Christi was sick I let someone she suggested at Tivon's cut it, and it wasn't the same. So I started asking around and tried a place in Radford recommended by a co-worker. Still.. it just wasn't the same. Didn't have the same 'flip'. Well last weekend I tried another place I hadn't been to since 98 or so...formally Color Me Red, now Manoca's. Manoca was so nice, just what you would expect in a small town :) My hair looks great... I was very pleased with my experience and thought I had found a new home! (besides the fact I heard a rumor later that the saloon changed names because they broke up a prostitution ring there...) Well I get an email yesterday that Christi is back... working at Images By B. The emails' bout 2 weeks late don't ya think. So do I continue letting Manoca cut my hair.. or run back to Christi with open arms! I guess I have a couple months to decide... I'm not cutting it again til June :) We will see who is still around then! (guys... I am sure you don't understand the stress of getting a good hair cut)

yep that's what I was doing all morning. When I looked at the clock it read 7:20. In my just woke up state I was trying to figure out what I had to do that early on a sat morning.. wait no.. what day is it... why aren't I at the gym already... no.. it's wednesday.. Hardee's Party.... crapola!!!! Opps. Yep musta turned off my alarm.. haven't done that in a while. I hear Hardee's Party survived without me :) Won't happen again girls! So now that I was late... I took my tiem getting ready, eating breakfast, talking to Monica. Got to work around 9...which means yep.. I'll still here. Leaving soon though!
I have made a dent in my christmas shopping. Got 8 people taken care of today I think. Still needs some odds and ends for a couple of them. But I was quite proud of myself!! Hopefully I will get the rest done this weekend.. and some wrapping and mailing!!

...let's see how much I can remember :)
Roommate night was a blast. Fresh meat from Missouri... I highly recommend it! The pineapple pie was pretty yummy too. (maybe those of you at Altess will be able to sample some soon) Our house now has some sparse but 'beautiful' christmas cheer! There were many memorable quotes. As we were decorating the banister and trying to figure out what else to do Monica pipes up "We should leave it like this, cause I like it". Well alrighty then.. since Monica likes it 8) haha! We had finished the decorating and were discussing plans for the rest of the night... like whether we wanted to open a bottle of wine.. when Monica says "If I weren't a christian I'd be an alcoholic" You'd think with all the giggling that was going around we had already been drinking.. but nope :) We ended up watching Beaches.. cause it was girl night.. and Monica had never seen it. Of course Brenna and I slept though the second half. Well I woke up at the end and shed a few tears. Cris had shown up just in time for the ending too :) Seems we are always watching chic flicks on friday night and Cris shows up just in time for the endings. Poor guy :) There will be more roommate nights in the works :)
Sat after studing some CF, Rex left the coffee shop without paying for his lunch! He was so into the Cold Fusion he forgot! Cris and I went bowling with Ryan and Reanna. We all bowled great the first game.. I got a 117... that could be my all time high.. if not real close! I won't tell you what I bowled in the second game :) I ended up bringing home Pirates of the Carribean DVD from the YL chistmas party game of 'speed greed' :) Cris ended up with a plastic Yosemite Sam mug :) Then we went to see Love Actually. Don't really recommend it. I guess it had some cute story lines and it ended decent. But I could have done without all the porn scenes.. and all the striping.
Sun... hmm. Wasn't that great of a day. I guess I didn't sleep well sunday night.. I was real grouchy! I did take a nap after church that helped. Helped the grouchiness... but not the getting ready for christmas! Here's my blonde story from the weekend... and guess what.. it's not about me!! haha. So Cris suggests we go out to dinner.. his treat :) We decide on Texas Roadhouse since neither of us had been there. Great choice... it was Delicious. He had a choice cut sirloin and I had the salmon. They have honey butter or something for the rolls... mmm!! So then the bill comes and Cris lays down his checkcard. The waitress comes back and says she tried it twice and it was declined...hmmm.. Cris told her it shouldn't be. So she tries again.. then has her manager try. So he comes to the table.. and said he tried to call Visa etc. Declined. Hmm.. so since Cris only has the check card... I pay for dinner :) And tell him he owes me :) haha. Cris is real perturbed and wants to hit up a Wachovia on the way home to test it there... but we stopped at Wal Mart first. Declined again. He's real annoyed. So he calls Wachovia when we get home.... they guy looks it up and was like I know exactly why, someone called and cancelled it. Yeah.. my smart boyfirend lost his wallet a couple weeks ago.... called and canceled the card. Then found the wallet under his bed. Well when the new card came in, he just threw it in his wallet... with the old one. He was trying to use the old one all night!! HAHAH. I told him the he now owed me double for stupidity!! Feel free to tease him relentlessly! We ended the night watch Pirates.... well Cris watched it.. guess what I did.. that's right.. SLEPT :)
So there's the half marathon that I decided to run.. which isn't til April.. so I don't really need to start the training schedule yet. But I do need to start doing a lot more cardio... so I can run 4 - 6 miles easily... maybe even kinda fast.. like a 10 min pace. So it will be a lot easier when my training program starts. So I ran for 30 min this morning... woohoo! And I wasn't even about to die.. but I did run real slow!
Chistmas Club (YL) is tonight, maybe it will get me motivated to send out christmas cards and finish my shopping!

Unanswered Prayers....

I guess I jinxed myself by staying up so late. The roads were fine... and the next batch isn't supposed to start til tonight. So here I sit at work :( Second friday in a row working. This streak might break records :) Only problems I had were gettin up my driveway. Gravel, incline, snow, the Honda *almost* disappointed me.
So tonight is roommate night. Dinner, christmas decorating, TV who knows what. Monica is cooking a roast w/veggies today :) mmmm! I found a recipe for Pineapple pie. Pineapple, Manderin Oranges, Puddin, Cool Whip, Graham crust.... :) Don't you wish you were my rooommate! I will let you know how it tastes :)
I wish I were in Vegas tonight. The National Finals Rodeo starts!! I know you guys are as excited as I am :) The world's top 15 in money for bareback, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc, tie-down roping, bull riding, steer roping adn barrel racing come together at the Thomas and Mack center in Las Vegas to compete 10 nights in a row! I don't know who my favorites are yet. I will let you know after I watch round one tonight :) Don't miss it. ESPN2 - 11:59pm EST :) Tomorrow night you can watch Round 2 Live at 9pm :)

Hmmm.. so it's after midnight... on a thursday night... what am I still doing it?? It's been snowing all day and is supposed to sleet all night.. which means I am praying work is closed :) I feel like a little kid! It's great! Monica and I threw some snowballs from our front door. That tree didn't see us coming :)
So I made it to the gym to lift right when the snow was starting. There was prob about an inch when I left. I stopped by WalMart *not a store that sells wall parts* on the way to work. Wanted to beat the crowd and pick up some snow shovels. Nothing like being prepared :) haha. Decided to buy some KK donuts even though it isn't a real KK and they aren't hot. I thought everyone who braved the snow deserved a treat! Needless to say everyone at work was my friend today :) When I left arond 2 the roads were fine. I headed to the CRC for a mtg and to keep Barry company for a while :) It started coming down hard when we were on the phone... but the time we left at 4:30 there was prob 3 more inches.. maybe more. I love my 4X4 honda. The little engine that could! I made it at home and am planning to stay here for a while! I bet we got around 8 inches total. Got to spend some time attaching my todo list. Preparing for christmas. Catching up with some folks on the phone. Planning Carly and Kenzie's christmas present! I can't wait. Plus some quality time with Monica :) Just the kinda night I needed! Is it too much to ask for more of the same tomorrow :) But it can stop long enough tomorrow night so Cris can make it here safely! :)

First of all... you guys stink! Only one person 'commented' on their favorite Christmas song. I am disappointed! Thanks Rex :)
Hope everyone had a great turkey day! I started mine off running in the Tidewater Turkey Trot :) It was fun. Weather was nice. Here's a pic of Mrs Early and I running at our lightning fast pace of 8 min 25 sec! I know.. unbelievable! We were happy! The rest of the day was relaxing and ended with some good eats with Cris' family. Then Cris, Pat and I went to see Elf. It's was ok.. some funny scenes. I'm not buying it on video :)
I spent friday and saturday in Fairfax with my mom and dad. Ran some errands, cleaned, caught up on my sleep. Just the weekend I needed! Went to see THE MISSING with my dad. It was pretty good. Not as scary as it sounds ;)
